Tra le sue composizioni si ricordano il classico "Accarezzame" , "Montecarlo" (cantata da Johnny Dorelli) , oltre a colonne sonore per numerosi sceneggiati della RAI tra cui il celebre 'Tenente Sheridan' (1971) , 'Ubu Roi' (1971) , 'Joe Petrosino' (1972) e 'Malombra' (1974) .
Nel gennaio del 1989 , dopo una vita dedicata con passione alla Musica , il maestro ci ha lasciato .
Un personaggio schivo ma garbato ed affabile al tempo stesso , PINO CALVI è stato un musicista mai sopra le righe , che preferiva anteporre le delicate note della sua orchestra e del suo pianoforte alle interviste , alle celebrazioni ed alla propria immagine , e come altri (Bruno Canfora , Franco e Berto Pisano e tantissimi altri ancora) musicisti , compositori e direttori orchestrali , ha lasciato un segno indelebile nella Musica Italiana , con il proprio 'tocco' sempre raffinato ed elegante .
Allora non resta che rilassarsi e mettersi comodi .
